“Hope is a thing with feathers”

I decided to sit down a begin an idea of a final piece and I had the idea of creating framed image of the birds as though the viewer had a snapshot of something, framing a scene. This idea came from the research into William Blake and the way he framed his poetry when he illustrated it. I also wanted to keep a contemporary feel, so I kept the lines clean and the colours quite flat. I am happy with the outcome, however it’s not technically strong for a final piece so maybe creating a few or making the lines more intricate would make this a more complete piece

I also started with ideas for a desperate piece that would simply black and white but with a lot of detail, with patterns and Angles. I started by drawing the black shapes found on a birds face , I also started adding patterns to the feathers of a bird
