Spirited Away

“Once you do something, you never forget. Even if you can’t remember.”

I started this project without a clue on how to turn liminality to story telling. Then I began think bout stories I knew. ‘Spirited Away’ has many elements of the liminal: Spirits and ghosts, flying, mythological creatures, tunnels, journeys. Oneof the more liminal scenes in this film,is the transition between reality and the spirit world where the chracters walk through a dark tunnel and into an empty trainstation, which looks cavernous and empty, leaves are blown around and then they break into the daylight of the spirit world and theres just fields and greenery. One of my favourite scenes has train station in the middle of the sea.
